TRAFFIC: Flow teaches students

| July 3, 2020 4:54 PM

I do not know who in our city government makes the decisions on the flow of traffic but they need to take Flow of Traffic 101!

The intersection at Northwest Boulevard and Lakewood Drive, traveling toward the east, had three lanes of traffic: a right turn only lane, a lane that goes across Northwest Boulevard or you could turn left onto Northwest Boulevard and a left turn only lane.

I travel this area at least twice a week and about a month ago, changes were made. The right turn only and left turn only lanes stayed the same but the center lane became a lane that only goes across Northwest Boulevard and continues east! How stupid is that?

If the city had gone down there and watched the traffic they should have been able to see how this change would affect the traffic. Now, due to the amount of traffic, the left turn lane is full from Northwest Boulevard and people are blocking the intersection at Riverstone.

You need to go back and watch the flow of traffic at different times during the day and fix this mess!
