U.S.: Demise draws near
After years of effort, the demise of the Union of Soviet Socialists Republic occurred in 1989. The demise of the 240-year-old American experiment seems to be around the corner.
When citizens vote to elect “my way or the highway” representatives, the failure of Congress, although it takes a while, is inevitable. I also find it ironic that individuals who shout “I want my county back” and “make America great again” have undermined the federalist, representative republic we’ve enjoyed these past 240-plus years.
The Constitution, as set up by the Founders, actually puts limits on the presidency, and gives authority to Congress to allocate money and declare war, etc. It is now the opposite. Our Justice Department now allows the president to illegally withhold funds, and go anywhere in the world and kill people with impunity (kind of like Putin).
Trump Republican Fulcher and Trump Republican Simpson have written into history their approval of the new Monarchy of the United States of America; I expect that Trump Republican Senators Risch and Crapo will yield their legislative power to the new Monarch, also.
Our representatives, under oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, have put the final nail in the coffin of the American Federation by allowing King Trump to continue unabated. What the heck, at least we made it more than 240 years; the Soviets barely remained in power for 70.
