POEM: Ode to a state rep

There once was a representative
Whose name was John Green,
His Uncle, Sam, and him never got along
Because they never agreed on anything.
Mr. Green had eluded his uncle,
But alas Sam got the better of him,
When he found Mr. Green’s friends’ gold coins,
He went to question all of them.
Mr. Green no longer represents anyone
And Sam got what he came for,
Mr. Green got a federal “time out”
And cheating, he will do no more,
For all Uncle Sam had wanted
Was just one simple thing,
Mr. Green to abide by his rules,
And pay his fair share of the green.
Perhaps he should have become a CPA and learned how to patriotically avoid taxes vs. becoming a lawyer who evaded them completely.
