Don Beck

Don Beck entered the world on May 24, 1935, as the only child of proud parents Juanita and Jack Beck.

Raised in Coeur d’Alene, he graduated from high school and continued working alongside his father as Beck Builders. With integrity and an extraordinary work ethic, Don became a successful contractor and master craftsman. He dedicated his career to building; many homes and business in this area are a result of his endeavors. With his gracious, soft-spoken manner and a great sense of humor, he earned the respect of our community.

Don had a passion for restoring old cars, driving fast hot rods and cruising on his dirt bike, Harley and ATV. He loved and played in this area; camping, boating, riding and just exploring. The family’s first trailer was built by Don.

Don was a loving, wonderful father (Toni and Brian) and husband (Karen). Following his retirement, he and Karen spent many amazing years together. Good times were had in warmer climates. Visiting various RV resorts and eventually settling in the Palm Springs area, they became official snowbirds. Don embraced life with memorable friends, Harley excursions (including Mexico), golf and the occasional sip of Yukon Jack.

At Don’s request, there will be no service, no flowers (he’s allergic) and no notice (sorry Dad, we had to). Condolences or memories can be shared at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.

Raise a glass to a life well lived and a man who will be greatly missed. Salute Don!
