Fish and Game offering $550K for firearm and archery shooting range grants
An Idaho Fish and Game grant program has money available to develop shooting ranges in Idaho.
The department’s Shooting Range Development Grant program, which has $550,000 available in grants, assists organizations or agencies to establish, upgrade, expand or otherwise improve public firearms and archery ranges in Idaho, according to IDFG.
Applications — due Feb. 1 — are evaluated to determine their potential to expand and enhance shooting opportunities for both the general public as well as Idaho’s hunter education program, according to the department.
Considerations include the availability of matching funds and the donation of labor or materials by organization members or outside entities.
