Sandra JoAnn (Paul) Tipke, 69

On this day, Jan. 3, 2020, Sandra JoAnn (Paul) Tipke, has left those that she loved here on earth to join those she has missed in Heaven. Sandra JoAnn Paul was born in Lemmon, S.D.; born to William W. Paul and Eloise Christenson. At a young age the family moved to Idaho, where she lived the rest of her time with her husband. Sandra will be rejoined with her parents, two sisters and many dear friends and relatives who have passed before her.

Sandee was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in April of 2003. During her many surgeries, treatments and maintenance programs she has fought the good fight. She fought the cancer and all the challenges that came along with it with such grace, strength and a fighting spirit. Some would say her personality changed once she was diagnosed with the “Big C” (as she would say), she became more outgoing and free with expression and words. Most of which her grandchildren will always cherish and remember her for.

For those who knew her, she would light up a room with her smile. During the last years of her life, Sandee enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with her friends, shopping, going to the casino for a girl’s trip and watching her grandchild, Charlie, play sports.

She loved all animals, from big to small. Minnie Pearl was her last fur baby, a white poodle mix rescue who came to them from a Texas shelter as a rescue. But in reality, Minnie was the hero here, lying next to Mom during her final days and providing unconditional love.

Jan. 3, 2020, at 10:13 a.m. Sandra JoAnn Tipke, age 69, passed away at home surrounded by her dedicated husband, Larry, and daughter, Kimberly. With their love and support, Sandee was able to pass on knowing she was loved and appreciated by many. Both Larry and Kimberly were able to communicate to her the kind words, cards and thoughts sent to her by dear family and friends during her final days. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Larry Charles Tipke, of 52 years; two daughters: Lorna M. Schrader and Kimberly K. Tipke Henry; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Sandee’s wishes were to not have a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, She would like donations to go to any of the following charities — St. Jude, Shriner’s or the Human Society — in honor or memory of her.

The family of Sandee would like to thank Hospice for the great care and support.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Sandee. If you wish to share memories or your condolences with the family, please go to www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
