Christina Braun, 36
Our daughter’s spirit left this world on the morning of Dec. 16, 2019, due to the Influenza B virus. Christy was born March 22, 1983, in Tacoma, Wash., and was baptized there. Christy spent most of her life in North Idaho. She loved the beach, Tubbs Hill, the Coeur d’Alene River, camping, music, crafts, writing and the arts, and was herself an artist — creating many beautiful drawings and paintings in her lifetime. Christy was a Christian and most recently attended Real Life Ministries church. She loved her children more than anything in this world. She was an exceptional mother and her children loved her dearly.
She leaves behind her beloved children Michael, Isaiah and Isabella DeRosie Vrye; their father, Michael and Emma and Kesley Hill and father, Jamie. She is also survived by her father, Rod Braun and stepmother, Candace Braun; mother, Kathy Gustafson and stepfather, Mark Gustafson; brother, Jeff Braun; and step-siblings Adam and Hannah Gustafson; grandfather, Alfred Braun; step-grandmother, Dixie Braun; aunt, Shelly; aunt, Terry; aunt, Asa; and many, many more extended family members. Christy is preceded in death by her grandmother, Marlys Braun; grandmother, Ione; Skip Raugust; and uncle, Eddy Elmer, along with her great-grandparents and great-aunts and uncles.
No words can express the extent of emptiness and pain we feel at the loss of our precious loved one. We are enduring through our faith and the promises our Lord makes through His Holy word. We thank Him for the incredible blessing of all the friends and family that have physically surrounded us during this very difficult time. We cannot thank you all enough for your kindness and care via food, prayers and support during these last several weeks.
Death is only the beginning. Goodbye for now sweet Christy. May your spirit soar in Heaven. We will see you soon.
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14: 1-2
