HOSPITAL: Questioning requests

Recently, I’ve received in the mail two requests from Kootenai Health for a donation (and inclusion to my will) to purchase additional medical equipment for their hospital. At the same time, Kootenai Health boasts in TV ads that they’ve “invested $130 million dollars in Northern Idaho.” With that much money to spend/invest, why are they soliciting individual donations from citizens for more medical equipment? It’s not as if they’re struggling financially.
I realize that their funds are allocated to specific areas, but Kootenai Health management should have made adjustments to compensate for something so important. Something doesn’t just seem right about this.
