CHS: Stay true to blue

| January 1, 2020 12:00 AM

Steve Casey’s “My Turn” column really struck a nerve with me. First, I am in complete agreement with Mr. Casey, and I also thank him for the history lesson on the origins of Viking Blue!

I am a CHS alumnus (’68) as are three of my children, Ben (’97), Paul (’01) and Katie (’02). I actually really like the black accent that has been used for a while now, but red letter C, uhhh not so much.

This may seem to some as trivial, but to us old timers it’s part of our CHS DNA. The letter C is blue, period.

I don’t remember anyone asking me, or anyone else what we think about the change. I guess it just happened? That’s not good enough. I propose all CHS alums who agree that Blue is our primary color, not red or any other color for that matter, let your feeling be known by a letter to the editor or a call to the administration of CHS. Go Vikings, Go Blue!
