ADLER: Scholar or soothsayer?
The Alturas Institute can now add a third post nominal to their leader’s name — David Adler, B.A., Ph.D., Clairvoyant.
In his Feb. 12 Op/Ed, he peers into the future and tells us that “Sen. Romney will be fine.” However, “Senators Risch and Crapo will be haunted by their votes in the impeachment trial. They will own Trump’s future acts of abuse of power because they had the opportunity to stop him, and they chose to abdicate, rather than exercise, their constitutional powers and responsibilities.”
This is the same Dr. Adler that back in a Dec. 27, 2013, Press Op/Ed told us that Richard Nixon was “a nonveteran.” One need only dig as deep as Wikipedia to discover that Nixon was a World War II veteran who served in the Navy from 1942 to 1946. Peering into the past must not be an Adler forte.
Now he stands on his bully pulpit as a “constitutional authority” and looks into the future to tell us that the president of the United States will perform future acts of abuse of power. Constitutional Scholar or Soothsayer, which is it Dr. Adler?
