COP: Term undermines enforcers
Doug Miller, in his Feb. 12 Op/Ed, is correct in his assessment of Ms. Zielinski’s awareness and knowledge of our local men and women in “blue” and her use of the word “cop.” Very unprofessional on her part.
This is also the very same ignorant, short sightedness and foolish diatribe about LEO’s we hear often from the left regarding the separation of illegal kids from illegal adults on our southern boarder.
Law enforcement, BP, ICE etc… don’t care about kids, and it seems to be the current soup du jour regardless of the speaker’s own perceived intellect on the subject.
After neutralizing any threat, it is always law enforcement’s first priority to put the kids first and determine who is with who and what the story is, and that means separation. AOC recently got schooled in a committee hearing on this very subject, and she looked very much the ignoramus she portrays herself to be, which doesn’t take much effort on her part.
It is the left that doesn’t really care about the kids, whether it’s in the back seat of an out of state car, the clutches of a “coyote” on our southern border or in the womb.
To the left, ignorance is bliss and votes matter more and those like AOC want the kids to stay with the adults, like on the southern border, rather than let CBP do their job of insuring everyone is who they say they are and supposed to be in custody of the minors they are with.
This is the very first step in stopping the situation Ms. Zielinski spoke about. Unfortunately, her condescending use of the word “cop” undermined her credibility, expertise and education on the subject matter.
