SOCIALISM: Cancer on society

After reading the guest opinion by John Strobel I was blown away by the gobbily goop he spewed about the great wonders of “American Socialism.” What a crock. Socialism is a cancer on any society. To compare it to building roads, bridges and other infrastructure is obscured at best and downright dumb!

Comparing Socialism to getting a retirement check is beyond absurd (in case you didn’t notice we paid for it, it’s not a gift from a socialistic government) or to compare it to income tax or property tax. Obviously he does not know anything about what history has taught us about the next step once a society is lured into socialism.

Take from the dirty “nasty rich” and give to the poor who refuse to work. Punish the rich, how dare they work night and day to get ahead and then have the nerve to want to keep what they make. That’s always how the naive people are sucked in. Then the day comes sooner or later when other people’s money runs out.

If socialism is so wonderful, how come we have people leaving socialist countries all over the world and sneaking into America? Socialism is just one small step away from Communism. If anyone wants to find out where it leads just read Victor Kravchenko’s book, “I Chose Freedom.” If that don’t wake you up nothing will.
