Lyslita ‘Jean’ Rohlman, 91

Lyslita “Jean” Rohlman, 91, of Coeur d’Alene, died at 6 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at Rose Terrace, in Spirit Lake after a recent fall and stroke.

She was born Feb. 19, 1928, in Oakland, Calif., to William “Tom” and Audrey Lingard. She married Donald Hall in 1947 and had a son, Dennis L. Hall, of Rathdrum, who survives with his spouse, Sandra Hall. She later married Herbert Rohlman of Davenport, Wash., in 1960. Together they adopted a daughter, Yvonne M. Rohlman, of Texas, who also survives. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her sister, Nancy Richardson of Tulsa, Okla. Jean and Nancy enjoyed a very close relationship throughout their lives.

She was a longtime resident of Coeur d’Alene and graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in fashion design. She worked most of her life in accounting and was last employed by the First Presbyterian Church of Coeur d’Alene.

She lived in a small, chalet-type home in the Wolf Lodge area of Coeur d’Alene for 30 years until she was no longer able to care for the property on her own and moved to independent living.

She loved to read Christian books and it was very difficult for her when she developed macular degeneration and could no longer read.

There is no service planned at this time as her family is spread so far around the country. A gathering of remembrance will be planned later this year when the weather allows.
