Derek Everett Curtis, 17
Derek went to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb. 7, 2020. Derek was born Oct. 29, 2002, in Spokane, Wash., to Todd and Joy Michelle (Stavros) Curtis.
He attended New Life Church with his family. Derek’s favorite hobbies were snow skiing, wakeboarding, camping, weight-lifting, watching the Patriots, playing football, biking, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
Derek was always driven to achieve perfection in everything he did. He lived a life with Godly character in service to others, always putting them first. His tender heart was the guiding light in how he touched others around him. Derek loved the Lord and is now with his savior for eternity.
He is survived by his parents, Todd and Michelle; sister, Haley; grandparents Daryl and Linda Stavros and Merlon and Mary Ellen Curtis; great-grandmother Hilma Curtis; and aunts and uncles (and cousins) Luke and Amy Stavros (Jordon and Alexa), Peter Curtis (Brooklyn and Benjamin), Scott and Erica Curtis (Amelia and Rosie) and Sara Curtis.
