Rachel Anne Prickett, 59

Rachel Anne Prickett, 59, better known as Rachie to her loving family, breathed her final breath on Nov. 14, 2019, all too soon and unexpectedly.

Rachel was born March 4, 1960, in Albert Lea, Minn., to Donald and Rachel Gillmann. She had a wonderful early childhood in Lake Mills, Iowa, surrounded by family; including Grandma and Grandpa Bergland, Grandma and Grandpa Gillmann; and aunts, uncles and close cousins Wendy, Wes, Tom, Nancy, Dan, David, Brad, Becky, Roxy and Tammy. They loved to play in the hay mow with the cats on Grandpa’s farm.

The rest of her childhood was spent in St. Maries, Idaho. Her favorite summers were spent with her dad and mom at Red Ives Ranger Station. Shortly after high school she graduated from Kinman Business University in Spokane, Wash.

After graduation, she met and fell in love with her husband, Tracy Prickett. Rachel and Tracy started their life together in St. Maries and had three wonderful sons, whom she devoted her life to: Jeremy, Jay and Joel.

Not long after, Rachel found her forever home in Harrison, Idaho, on beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene. She knew as soon as she saw the sunshine hitting the lake that Harrison was where she wanted to be.

Rachel loved to spend her time outdoors, whether it was on the lake or in the beautiful mountains close by. You could always find Rachel singing along to country music throughout her day. She had great memories of cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers and the Seahawks every Sunday.

Rachel was the ultimate partner in life and we all look forward to the day we take her hand and follow her into the light, and then she will be the ultimate partner in eternity.

Rachel is survived by her loving husband, Tracy; her mom and dad, Donald and Rachel; her brother and sister, Scott and Danielle and their families; as well as her son, Jeremy and his children Carly and Alius; Jay and his children Isabella, Sophia and Scarlett; and finally, Joel and his son, Jackson.

A memorial service for Rachel will be conducted in the spring in the great outdoors that she loved so much.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
