A wide range of traditional Japanese foods are on the menu of Shiki Hibachi Sushi restaurant that opens this week at 221 E. Sherman Ave. in downtown Coeur d’Alene.

Owner Leon Chi offers sushi, rolls, sashimi, yakisoki, teriyaki, hibachi, katsu, fried rice, ramen and beverages with inside dining and take-out. The two-level place has seating for 89 with a sushi bar, booths and a meeting room with traditional Japanese decor.

Chi started with the business in Manhattan and moved to Walla Walla in 2015 and added locations in Kennewick, Wash., and Hermiston, Ore. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 to 10:30 Friday, 12:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

New ICCU building opens this week on Appleway

With about 40 employees in a three-level 25,172-square-foot building, ICCU (Idaho Central Credit Union) will open its new location Monday at 1327 W. Appleway. The main branch is on the first floor and a call center and business and mortgage offices above. A video booth is included.

ICCU started in Boise in 1940 and now has 38 branches with more than 360,000 members and assets of more than $2 billion. Emily Haas is branch manager, assisted by KaitLyn Osborn. The ribbon-cutting is March 5.

Frame of Mind moves to Fourth Street

After 30 years downtown at Lakeside Avenue and Second Street, Frame of Mind has moved to 1901 N. Fourth St. The new location is for the sales and service of custom picture frames and will not include the main floor gallery in the old place.

Merlin Berger started the business 35 years ago and is assisted by daughter Lynee Richards. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 to 4 Saturday. Phone 208-667-6889.

Hazeltree Midwivery opens on Third Street

Offering professional comprehensive, holistic midwivery care for the mother and baby, Hazeltree Midwivery has opened at 1048 N. Third St.

Kim Palmer and Krysta Freed provide routine prenatal care and lab work, intrapartal care, water birth, postpartum care, home visits, lactation support, newborn and well-baby care, nutritional counseling, emotional support, a lending library and on-call access.
