BROOKS: Deserves re-election

I am a Realtor with Windermere Coeur d’Alene Realty and an ambassador for the Rathdrum Chamber of Commerce. I would like to say a few words on behalf of my friend and colleague Bill Brooks.

I have known Bill since about 2007. We originally met at the Elks Lodge where I was working part time.

We quickly became friends and when he found out I had worked in the real estate industry in San Diego, he hired me part time as his transaction coordinator at Black Sheep Real Estate. He saw potential in me that I did not see in myself and eventually convinced me to get my real estate license.

I have watched Bill go through so much physically from cancer, battling MRSA and not least needing a hip replaced, yet never once have I ever seen him put himself before someone else. He has always been extremely generous and caring, not only to me but everyone around him.

I believe that his faith in God has seen him through more than any man should ever have to go through. Even when he broke his leg and was told be would never walk again, his faith never wavered. He was determined to help his community even more. He worked hard and became District 1 commissioner and has done an amazing job. I have referred many people to him who needed guidance not knowing where to go or who to talk to at the county and he has helped every one of them without hesitation.

If anyone deserves to be elected to a second term in office, it is Bill Brooks.
