Higgins, a 6-foot-8 junior forward, had 16 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots for the Knights in a North Star League win over Wallace on Jan. 29, 14 points and 13 rebounds against Genesis Prep on Jan. 31 and 17 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots against Garfield-Palouse on Feb. 1, all Knight wins. “He’s played well the last four games,” Lakeside coach James Twoteeth said. “He’s been controlling the boards, and swatting 1 or 2 shots out of there each game so they don’t come in there as much.”
