Donald ‘Don’ A. Moore, 79
Donald “Don” A. Moore, 79, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020.
Don was born July 8, 1940, in Coeur d’Alene. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mary Moore and his brother, John “Jack” Moore.
He worked for Sunshine Silver Mine for 33 years and shared memories with his family and friends of co-workers lost in the Sunshine Fire in 1972. He lived life fully with his love for so many things; hunting with his dad and brother, then later hunting with his son-in-law and grandson. Don loved country music and enjoyed going out dancing. He was the one all his sisters-in-law wanted to dance with; he never missed a beat. He never missed an opportunity to go on those camping trips, ride his quad and he even loved his winter rides on his snowmobile.
Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alma M. Moore, and two daughters: Melinda (Preston) Danly and Colleen (Rick) Schrader. His life was blessed with six grandchildren, Sarah, Brittany, Ricky, Cailey, Brandon and Ryan; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Don was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at Yates Funeral Home-Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, with a reception following. Please visit Don’s online memorial and sign his guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
