Cd'A woman dies in Christmas Eve crash

MOSCOW — A 75-year-old Coeur d'Alene woman died following a two-car crash on Thursday night near Moscow.

Calleen White died after the vehicles collided at 7:36 p.m. at the Eid Road and U.S. 95 intersection south of Moscow, Idaho State Police reported.

White was a passenger in a 2000 Nissan Altima traveling north on U.S. 95, driven by Hailey Dismukes, 24, of Post Falls, police reported.

A 2005 Pontiac Vibe driven by Stacey Davis, 47, of Moscow, was traveling south on U.S. 95 and attempted to turn left onto Eid Road as Dismukes approached, with the cars colliding head-on, police reported.

Dismukes, White and another passenger in the Altima, Brock Montee, 32, of Post Falls, were taken to Gritman Medical Center via ambulance, police reported, with White pronounced dead at the hospital. Davis was taken to Gritman in a personal vehicle.

Conditions and details about injuries to the other accident victims was not available at press time.

Police said they are still looking into the cause of the accident and which occupants were wearing seat belts as the investigation continues.
