Post Falls man dies in crash

A Post Falls man died in a two-vehicle crash early Friday just south of Coeur d'Alene on U.S. 95.

According to the Idaho State Police, Jeremy Shuman, 30, of Post Falls, was northbound in a 1983 Chevrolet pickup when it left the road near milepost 417 about 6 a.m.

The pickup traveled into the median, rolled and Shuman was ejected, ISP reported. The pickup continued into the southbound lanes where it came to rest.

Jason Thompson, 45, St. Maries, was southbound on U.S. 95 in a 1987 Peterbilt log truck when he struck Shuman's pickup, ISP said.

Life-saving measures were performed at the scene. Thompson was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.
