Tony Henneberg, 75

| December 18, 2020 1:00 AM

Tony Henneberg lived to age 75 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He passed on Dec. 14, 2020. He was born in Sutherland, Neb., on Jan. 19, 1945, to Roy Henneberg and Eleanor Sittner.

Tony grew up as a missionary child in South and Central America. He went to Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle, Wash., then Walla Walla College. He went on to receive a Master’s of Divinity through Andrews University. He then became a medical doctor through Loma Linda University.

Tony married Bonnie Masat on Aug. 6, 1967, in Loma Linda, Calif. They have been married for 53 years and have shared more than one life’s worth of happy memories. Tony was a minister for five years, with churches in Orting and Bellevue, Wash. He then became a physician and practiced ObGyn in Coeur d’Alene from, 1981 until 2017. He was able to start a private practice with his brother and eventually his son.

Tony’s main interest was his family, but he also tolerated golf, fishing, camping and weekend trips with friends. He despised home maintenance. He was actively involved with the Coeur d’Alene Seventh Day Adventist Church and passionately cared for children’s education through Lake City Academy.

Tony is survived by his wife, Bonnie Henneberg; his sons, Andy and RJ and their families; LouAnn and Katie and five grandchildren. He has two brothers, Jim Henneberg in Pasadena, Calif. and Randy Henneberg in Hayden, Idaho.

Tony was a man who loved his family, loved God and loved people. He had an ability to connect intensely to people. He felt friendships deeply, he hugged strongly and will be missed terribly.
