Lisa A. Lewis, 62

| December 16, 2020 1:00 AM

Lisa Lewis passed away Friday morning, Dec. 11, 2020, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 62.

Lisa A. Lewis was born in Denver, Colo., on July 9, 1958. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Jimmy D. Lewis, two brothers and one sister, as well as her children, Lindsey and Devin, and step-children, Ashley and Zack. Lisa also had eight grandchildren who she loved very much and who will miss her terribly.

Lisa brought zest and passion to all she did. She was vice-principal and co-founder of Kootenai Bridge Academy, where her friends, co-workers and students will never forget her radiant spirit.

She loved live music (especially outdoors), good food (and the cooking of the same) and road trips with no direction or destination. For Lisa, it was always about the journey. One leg of that journey has ended, but another has begun.

Lisa was always ready for an adventure. She traveled extensively and held a wide variety of jobs throughout her life. Her knowledge across a broad range of topics was always impressive. She was a good friend to many and gave the best advice and a sympathetic ear to any who needed it.

Her passing leaves all who knew her deeply saddened but profoundly grateful to have shared this world with her.
