Police: Woman drives into Hayden Lake

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office Dive Rescue Team responded to a call for a vehicle in Hayden Lake at the Honeysuckle Boat launch Monday evening.

April D. Heath, 39, of Spirit Lake was removed from the vehicle and medical personnel immediately started life-saving measures.

Heath was transported to Kootenai Health for life-threatening injuries. No other passengers were found.

At this time the cause of the accident is unknown but based on evidence in the vehicle it appears alcohol was a possible factor.
