Molly Jewel Valente, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020. Molly was born to John and Elsie Earnest on March 29, 1934, in Roswell, N.M., and moved to Idaho in 1953

She is survived by her sons Victor, Tom and Ron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Valente.

Shortly after she moved to Coeur d’Alene she met Victor and they were married on Wednesday, June 26, 1953. They were married for 61 beautiful years.

Molly was a devoted wife and mother. Her family meant the world to her and she would do anything for them. Molly was a floral designer by trade and she and her husband opened their own flower shop called The Flower Basket. She also loved to sew and create beautiful quilts.

After their retirement, Molly and Vic would often take golfing and sight-seeing trips to the Oregon Coast, California and New Mexico, along with visiting various places in Idaho. They also spent time in Palm Springs visiting family.

In her later years, Molly and her son, Ron, meticulously cared for the backyard, as Molly enjoyed working in her flower garden. She liked sitting on her deck, admiring all the flowers, trees, squirrels, doves, quail and various birds that also called her backyard home. Ron was also her primary caregiver during this time, which enabled her to stay home and enjoy her time with family and friends.

Molly was a member of Dalton Gardens Church of Christ.

Due to these uncertain times, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please view and sign Molly’s online guest book at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
