SPOKANE — Top-ranked Gonzaga has canceled its next four men's basketball games, all at home, citing COVID-19 concerns, the school announced Sunday.

Games canceled include Tuesday vs. Tarleton State, Thursday vs. Southern, Saturday vs. Northern Arizona and Monday, Dec. 14 vs. Idaho.

"Out of an abundance of caution and the well-being of student-athletes, in accordance with COVID-19 protocols Gonzaga has made the decision to pause men’s basketball competitions through December 14," the school announced in a news release.

Gonzaga's most recent game, Saturday vs. No. 2 Baylor in Indianapolis, was canceled after a Zags player and a member of the travel party tested positive for COVID-19. It marked the second time in as many weeks that a Zags player and staff member had tested positive.

The next game listed on the Zags' schedule is a Dec. 19 matchup with Iowa in Sioux Falls, S.D.
