Corvette Christmas

| December 5, 2020 1:00 AM

The North Idaho Corvette Club is kicking off the 2020 High Performance Toy Corvette Drive to Benefit Toys for Tots of North Idaho.

The drive is "something different and exciting, as kids love toy Corvettes and Corvettes are a timeless, iconic part of American History," said a press release.

The North Idaho Corvette Club donated $500 in cash to Toys For Tots along with getting a grant from Makers Mark Bourbon to purchase $500 in toy Corvettes from the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky., home of the Corvette manufacturing plant.

The public can drop off a new toy Corvette at Crickets Restaurant, 424 Sherman Ave., before Dec 19.

Crickets is also donating some proceeds of sales to the toy Corvette drive.

"We need all different model years and pink ones for the girls, especially the Barbie Pink Corvette," a press release said.

The club's goal is "to make a lot of kids happy on Christmas morning with a cool toy Corvette."
