Dave Zeien

Sept. 6, 1960 — Aug. 13, 2020

Dave, Uncle, Uncle Dave, Flatty, Uncle Flatchip, Denture Dave passed away with his family at his side on Aug. 13, 2020. Dave lived in Osburn, Idaho, and was born in Waukegan, Ill. on Sept. 6, 1960, to Paul and Helen Zeien.

Dave had a love for many things, including his dogs. If he wasn’t out camping, floating the river, snowmobiling, golfing or “hucking” a folf disc, you could find him owning and operating his dental lab.

Dave had a way about him that made everyone feel accepted, from his demeanor to his infectious laugh. On the weekends you could find him gathering wood or sitting around the TV with his dogs, glued to the Hallmark Channel.

He was a friend, an uncle, and some would say a “dad” or “grandpa” to many. He will surely be missed.

David is survived by six siblings: Joseph, Peter, Michael, Patrick, Helen and Paul, as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen.

There will be a service to follow at Strang Funeral Home in Antioch, Ill. In lieu of sending flowers, you can make a donation to the Dave Zeien fund for Washington Basset Rescue @gofundme.com
