Darlene Wooten, 75

Darlene Wooten, 75, of Athol, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Aug. 19, 2020. Her sudden death impacted her family and friends immensely. She passed peacefully with her children by her side.

Darlene will be remembered by many as she was a caring soul. Her sense of humor was appreciated by everyone, old and young alike, her laughter and silliness was contagious. Her passion for football, namely the Seattle Seahawks, brought out her funny quotes, like “Fiddlesticks!” and “Fiddle Diddle!”

She was known fondly as the LIKE and SHARE EVERYTHING Grandma! Her caring nature and nonjudgmental attitude toward others made it easy to become best friends with so many. Darlene loved her family like no other; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much joy and happiness.

Darlene is survived by her children: daughter, Sharlon (Steve) Maral; daughter, Deborah (Troy) James; and son, Jack Wooten; grandchildren, Heidi (BJ) Liden, Sarah (Dan) McCracken, Travis (Stacy) Reed, Stephanie (Jeff) Morrison, Laura (Mike) Siemens and Chelsea Plunk. She will be adoringly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Blake, Claire, Alyse, Natalie, Lacey, Eli, Brenna, Jenna, Edie, Tucker, Kinsley, and was looking forward to the birth of her 12th great-grandchild, baby Fae. Other surviving family members include brother, Rick Tensley, and cousin, Barbara Goodwin.

Darlene is preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 51 years, Jack Wooten; her son, Terry Dean and brother, Bill Tensley.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time for friends and family.
