David Michael Lang, 77

David Lang, 77, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away Aug. 4, 2020, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in North Idaho. He was born April 19, 1943, in Torrance, Calif., to Earl and Wilda Lang. He grew up in Hirmosa Beach and graduated from Redondo High School.

He worked in the airline industry for 48 years, retiring from Northwest Airlines in Seattle and relocating to Athol, Idaho, in 2005. He and his wife of 30 years, Karen (Nelson) shared a love of travel to many exotic destinations. He had a lifelong love of hunting and fishing, and his wife, family and friends will be forever grateful for his many culinary skills.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; brother Gerry (Betty) Lang of Florida; daughter Jena (Tom) Monit of Post Falls, Idaho; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved Yorkie, Kiddie. David is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Wilda Lang.

He was loved and will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
