Bernadine ‘Bernie’ Petersen, 85

Bernadine Petersen, “Bernie” to her close friends, quietly passed away of natural causes on the evening of July 16, 2020, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Bernadine was born March 21, 1935, in Hanover Green, Pa., to Mr. and Mrs. Frank G. Fela.

She was a graduate of Mount St. Dominic Academy, Caldwell, and the Berkeley School in East Orange, N.J.

Bernie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Stephen Petersen; their daughter, Karen; son Eric (wife Angela); and her sister, Florence Smith.

A celebration of her life will begin at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. All are welcome to attend.

For family and friends who cannot attend in person, the celebration will be broadcast via Facebook Live. Visit English Funeral Chapel’s Facebook page and the broadcast will start approximately five minutes before the service.
