Stalking suspect arrested

Police have identified a person of interest in a stalking case in downtown Coeur d’Alene.

A $250,000 arrest warrant was obtained for Spokane resident Michael A. Aquino II, 45, who was reportedly in the area of Tubbs Hill and the Coeur d’Alene Resort boardwalk early last week.

Police said Aquino turned himself into the Kootenai County Public Safety Building yesterday evening. He was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 16.

No further information will be released at this time.
