Incidents involving the coronavirus are making their way to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the KCSO reports for April 14, deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Athol in which a female said her husband got angry about her walking around town.

“She said her doctor told her to take walks to help lower her blood pressure, but her husband was upset because he believed she was walking around town visiting friends and could bring the coronavirus into their home and he had pre-existing conditions,” the report said.

During the argument, the woman said her husband raised a glass in a threatening manner as if he was going to throw it at her. She left and went to her brother’s residence.

The male was charged for domestic assault, KCSO reported.

In another incident, deputies responded to a welfare check on Boot Hill Road.

A male had made several recent suicidal comments and was in the shop and his girlfriend witnessed him with a handgun.

The male was upset in part over being laid off due to the coronavirus and Gov. Brad Little’s stay-home order, among other things, the report said.

Deputies took the male to Kootenai Health for treatment.
