TRUMP: Bad, either way

| April 17, 2020 1:00 AM

An Aristotlean syllogism:

Major Premise: Trump and other Republicans have said the GOP cannot win elections if there is a mail-in ballot.

Minor Premise: The Postal Service has said it will be bankrupt by the end of September. The White House announced on April 11 that there would be no bailout of the Postal Service.

Conclusion: The Republican Party, led by Trump, wants either Americans to die if they vote in person (as in Wisconsin, supported by the U.S. Supreme Court) or stay home — because they know their base will turn out.

Secondary conclusion: Anyone who supports Trump is a traitor to the principles of democracy. It’s time to say enough to the GOP bully.
