New group creates voter guide

| April 17, 2020 1:00 AM

How many Kootenai County residents have felt frustrated when trying to research a candidate’s beliefs and what they stand for during election season? A new group has been started in Kootenai County whose primary goal is to provide non-partisan voter guides for all contested races in Kootenai County’s next election.

Watchmen Ministry North Idaho has already sent out questionnaires to all those candidates in contested races for the upcoming election. The resultant Voter Guide was posted on their website on Wednesday. You can review the guide at www.watchmenministrynorthidaho.com and forward the link to family and friends.

The questions are succinct and on issues specific to each race. Results are posted on the website in a side by side/easy-to-compare chart. Where the answers are more complex, the guide gives a condensed version of a candidate’s answer in the chart, but copies of each candidate’s completed questionnaire are also be posted so that you may check their complete answer regardless of length.
