Sorensen staff create music video for students

Teachers and faculty members at Sorensen Magnet School of the Arts and Humanities have created a music video featuring a school song to let their students and families know how much they are missed.

The song “Raise Your Hands,” written four years ago by Principal Brett DePew, has become a school favorite to sing at Friday Gathering assemblies when school is in normal session. Music teacher Tami Vandegrift edited individual videos together for one happy collaboration using the FlipGrid social learning platform.

“Our goal was to make something together that we could share with the families and the students to remind them we’re here, we’re thinking about them and we miss them,” Vandegrift said.
