Warning for Bayview bar

The Captain’s Wheel Resort in Bayview was given a warning for allegedly serving drinks in violation of Gov. Brad Little’s stay-home order, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.

The KCSO, on its Facebook page, said deputies followed up Tuesday on a report that the bar was open and serving drinks.

“It was confirmed the bar was in fact open and was currently serving patrons,” the KCSO reported. “Deputies responded where they contacted the owner. She claimed to have not understood the order, and thought she was allowed to serve drinks while patrons awaited their food order for take-out.”

The rules were again explained to the owner and she was warned to follow the order.

On its Facebook page, the Captain’s Wheel Resort posted a note that it was still open for to-go beer and booze.

It said to call ahead, and they would bring the order to the car.

“Due to the Idaho social distancing, we can not have anyone with in the restaurant,” the post read. “Hopefully this will all be over soon enough and we can get back to the good ol’ days. Hope everyone is doing well and thank you so much for still supporting your local businesses … we need you!”
