DOCTOR: A professional prescription

| April 10, 2020 1:00 AM

Memo reply to Dr. Burnett: Representative Scott, being duly elected by and representing her constituents, has voiced her legitimate concern about the arbitrary abrogation of the First Amendment rights of Idaho citizens. I personally believe this disease is not a hoax, but remember the words of the former mayor of Chicago (the guy with the dual-citizenship) who said never let a good crisis go to waste.

According to W.H.O. statistics, the H1N1 flu pandemic in 2009 killed 18,000 Americans. I do not recall any massive closures, lockdowns, stipends of debt bucks or other hysteria. But then, the Messiah of universal health care was POTUS. People went about their daily lives. Those with compromised immune systems or other health issues, died. The rest of us survived. The deaths to COVID-19 are, for the most part, occurring among the elderly and those with compromised immune systems or other serious health issues.

Keep in mind, doctor, the Leviathan never surrenders power. It’s been 20 years since the attacks of 9/11 and we are still being irradiated by the TSA before we can fly and spied on through our iPhones. Look at your own profession and see how over the years ignorant bureaucrats have dictated to you about how to practice medicine. Try going against them and see how quickly you end up hauled before some administrative board of morons.

Representative Scott’s profession is politics. Yours is medicine. Stick to your profession, sir.

JOHN M. JOHNSON
