Notable calls for the day!

• Deputies responded to W. Massachusetts Street to assist SLPD with a suicide threat. 20-12499

• CSO a burglary on a commercial construction trailer at W. Echo Drive. 20-12502

• Deputies took an auto burglary at W. Tanager Ave. where digital camera equipment was taken from a vehicle.

• Deputies responded to N. Highway 95 for a welfare check 20-12529

• Deputies responded to a possible overdose. It appears a father took his son’s medication my accident as both medications were on the counter. He had a reaction to the meds and lost consciousness. Ultimately, the father was transported to KH via ambulance and son’s mother came to take care of him. 20-12525

• Deputies responded to N. Redspire Rd for a domestic dispute. This was a verbal argument over custody of a child in common. There was no parenting plan in place. Deputies were able to work out an agreement and settle the issue. Advice was given to set a parenting plan. No crime committed. 20-12536

• A call came in from a resident who advised he was told by his HOA to call the Sheriff’s Office due to a neighbor’s horse who pooped in the roadway. We did not respond.

• Deputies responded to N. McCoy Rd. for an unattended death. An 82 year old male who was on going medical conditions passed away during the evening. Nothing suspicious was noted and it was not COVID-19 related. 20-12557

• Deputies responded to N. Nautical Loop for a battery between a landlord and tenants. As the landlord attempted to follow a tenant into the residence he was “pushed with two hands to the chest” and as he stepped backwards the door was slammed in the landlords face. A witness saw the incident and said she went to talk to the tenant who became angry at her. She said he got “into her face, screaming and yelling” and was “So close as he was yelling the spittle from his mouth hit her.” There may have been a shoving match. None of the parties wanted to pursue charges and the eviction process was explained to the landlord. A report was completed. 20-12570

• Deputies responded to E. Royal Dr. for a domestic dispute. The caller stated his wife “is drunk and attacked” him. He said the argument started because they were in the middle of a divorce and she wanted to try and talk to him about working things out. A report was completed. 20-12572

• CDAPD had a domestic at an apartment on Howard and while setting up containment on it, an unrelated male was walking to that apartment and turned and ran. CDAPD split its resources to handle the domestic and the male who fled. They set up a perimeter in the area and the CDA Sergeant asked for deputies to start clearing the yards in the area. Deputies found the male, who was a 13 year old male, hiding under a porch next to an unsecured house. The juvenile said he was going to the apartment that CDAPD was surrounding and then ran off. He was turned over to CDAPD.

• A Deputy came across a car blocking the road at Ramsey x Hanley and contacted the driver who started telling the Deputy about magic, corrupt cops and started to speak in poetry. A second Deputy arrived and they searched the car based on plain smell of marijuana. Marijuana and paraphernalia was located. The driver had no logical or rational reason for being out and about and he had flagged a male down as the Deputy was contacting him to share the same nonsense that he was trying to share with the Deputy. Based on his behavior and likely drug use, Deputies took him into custody for mara/para to prevent further issues with him for the night. 20-12601

• A newspaper man called in a suspicious vehicle in the Hayden Lake area that he saw driving around multiple time. Deputies located the vehicle as it turned onto Jensen Dr. Deputies located the vehicle parked in front of a residence with two males standing next to it. They were where identified and lived at the address. They admitted to driving around to show one of the occupants “how to drive.” They also admitted to drinking at the house and were both issued MIP tickets. 20-12609

• Deputies responded to W. Rice Rd. because the RP found a female hanging out laying on the ground underneath her trailer next to her house. There is a current NCO and the female was located violating it in the Deputies presence. To hopefully prevent further issues, she was taken into custody. 20-12613
