Larry Ray Clark, 73, of Rathdrum, went home to the Lord on April 1, 2020. Larry was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Pasco, Wash., to E. Henry Clark Jr. and Colleen (Callahan) Clark.

On Nov. 9, 1969, Larry married the love of his life, Helen Clark, in Lewiston, Idaho. Most knew Larry over the years as a member of the Rathdrum Planning and Zoning Commission and Fire Commissioner for the Northern Lakes region; but he was also a real estate developer, book author and small business owner.

Larry enjoyed taking his daughter fishing and displaying his love of horses as an exhibitor at quarter horse shows. Over the years he showed a Canadian national champion mare, received a superior award for the showing of another mare in Amateur Halter, and he owned a mare that placed eighth at Quarter Horse Congress. He was also a devout Catholic.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen Clark; daughter, Christine Green; son-in-law, John Green; brother, Dwayne Clark (of Seattle); sisters Edweena Skinner (of Spokane) and Linda Walker (of Federal Way, Wash.); brother-in-law, Warren Olson (of Rathdrum) and sister-in-law, Bernice Crabtree (of Texas).

Larry will be privately laid to rest at Pinegrove Cemetery in Rathdrum, on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Northern Lakes Fire Department.
