REMINGTON: Consider these rights

| April 4, 2020 1:00 AM

If Representative Remington is cited or arrested, it will not be because he is a pastor or a Christian. It will be because he has blatantly disregarded the safety of his parishioners and community.

He is not standing up for First Amendment rights. He is endangering the rights of the older couple who want to celebrate their 50th anniversary. He is endangering the rights of the young mom with asthma who wants to raise her children. He is endangering the rights of the child battling cancer who just wants a fighting chance at life. He is endangering the rights of health care workers and first responders who want to stay healthy so they can be there the next day and the next.

Social distancing is not taking away our rights but to protect our neighbors, families and friends.

During this time the rights we should fight for, is the right to love our neighbor, to share their burdens and to be a light.
