Kroc Center employees help other agencies

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene providing 23 part time and full-time employees to organizations throughout the area to assist in maintaining their services and special requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Panhandle Health District is utilizing nine employees for approximately 82 hours per week to man the Panhandle Health Hotline. Employees provide accurate and important information to citizens from the five northern counties of Idaho who are calling with questions and concerns.

Additionally, employees are working each day at the Post Falls Food Bank and Community Action Partnership Food Bank, processing donations, packing food boxes and providing general assistance. Between these two agencies, 11 employees are providing 128 hours a week of volunteer service.

The Kootenai County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is utilizing three Kroc Center employees in an administrative and logistics roles. Over 80 hours per week are being contributed to the county’s efforts.

In addition, many Kroc Center employees are working from home, calling Kroc members and volunteers with a “wellness check.”
