GOVERNOR: To really help…

| April 1, 2020 1:00 AM

As part of the declared state of emergency in Idaho, Governor Little needs to immediately suspend for 90 days all residential rent, mortgage payments and utility billings for anyone unemployed as a result of COVID-19. Otherwise, any monies received from the federal stimulus program will simply be a pass through to landlords, mortgage companies and utilities.

Simply postponing utility disconnects, foreclosures, evictions, etc., just kicks the can down the road and does nothing to help those unemployed by this national disaster.
