There was an error in The Cheap Seats on Friday. Richard MacLennan became president of North Idaho College in 2016, and was not in his current position when NIC made the decision to leave the Scenic West Athletic Conference.

However, columnist Steve Cameron nonetheless feels that MacLennan’s feelings toward the Northwest Athletic Conference are shaped, in part, by his decade-plus years of employment at NWAC member Olympic College.

Thus, while regretting the typographical error concerning MacLennan’s arrival at NIC (the column stated it was 2010), Cameron believes the context presented in Friday’s column remains correct.
