DEMS: Aiming at wrong targets

Despite the fact that communism, socialism and fascism have been the cause of death for millions of innocent people, we currently have a dozen or so candidates, of Democratic persuasion, running in their primary with aspirations of bringing these abhorrent failed philosophies to America.

Just when I thought they could not go further left without self-destructing, they did. This group of empty suits, has-beens and crowns, have now declared the NRA to be labeled as a terrorist organization. This is the same NRA that fights in and out of court to protect our Second Amendment (probably our most important one), spends enormous amounts of money and resources to promote gun safety. The same NRA that is us — millions of Americans — all of whom are peaceful citizens who have never terrorized or killed anyone.

Also on their agenda is the banning (some are for confiscation) of so-called assault weapons. It seems they are obsessed with AR15s and AK47s. The civilian version of these two firearms with regard to repetitive firing is the same as my hunting rifles (.338 and .306). They are not machine guns. Should we restrict hunting to bows and arrows?

Also big on their list is slavery reparations (no discussion on who the capturer or sellers of these slaves were. After 300 plus years, who is going to be the payer and who is going to be the payee? Seems to me they have not given that any thought. Another one of the plans is nationalizing corporations (imagine Joe Biden running FedEx or Bernie Sanders the CEO of AT&T).

The 2020 election will be a vote for socialism vs. freedom. Since freedom is not free, I will put my money on freedom.
