EDUCATION: Put parents in control
Brent Regan nailed it! Change in the way we educate our children is long past due. Let the marketplace pick the winners by having educational dollars follow the student. Competition between methods and institutions will easily show us who does the better job.
Give these decisions back to the parents. It is their ultimate responsibility and money, not the government’s. For too long parents have given their authority away.
And let us not forget the student. It is their duty to want to learn and not discard the opportunity to become an educated and productive citizen. Our present system has failed in so many ways, resulting in wasting of precious minds, money and resources. The brick and mortar method, with its many entrenched bureaucratic tiers, is obsolete.
