Sean Steven DeMars, 47

Sean Steven DeMars passed away Sept. 10, 2019, in Coeur d Alene. He was born Oct. 2, 1971, in Salina, Kan., to Sandera Harrison and Ronald DeMars.

Sean grew up in Salina and the Wichita area for most of his life. He graduated from Clearwater High School in 1991. Upon graduating from high school, he entered the Army Reserves and completed his basic training at Fort Sill, Okla.

He worked as a mechanic in several car dealerships in the Wichita area. In 1998, he began working as a military technician on the civilian side of the Army Reserve. At the time of his death, he was the supervisor of the AMSA #80 maintenance shop on Fairchild Air Force Base. He also had achieved the rank of CW4, Chief Warrant Officer in the Army Reserve.

Sean married Sarah Dix, in Council Grove, Kan., on May 11, 2002.

Sean loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, working on cars and watching his boys play lacrosse and football.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah; children, Cooper and Graham; mother and stepfather, Sandera and Tom Harrison; father, Ronald DeMars and multiple other siblings and family members.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
