PRESS: Unfair to sheriff candidates

| September 20, 2019 1:00 AM

I want to express my grave reservations and disappointment over the headline on the top front page of the Sunday, Sept. 15 paper, along with a similarly placed page one negative headline last month, about another sheriff candidate’s family bankruptcy story…

This proves to me that the paper is no longer serious about wanting to continue striving to be a high quality newspaper.

The page one headlines should be reserved to highlight real news and not to demonstrate a clear bias and meddling in the paper in an election that is months away. This is a VERY poor way to state what should be on the editorial page, in a timely fashion.

I believe the paper owes its readers an apology.
