MEDICINE: 'Kidnapping' concern

| September 18, 2019 1:00 AM

So, what is really going on with this newer phenomenon that some have called “medical kidnapping?”

Are these wise hospital practices or rather weaponizing the CPS service to bully parents into submission who disagree with a fallible doctor?

After hearing several firsthand stories from individuals and parents at the last peaceful protest at Kootenai Health bringing light to this shady practice, I am convinced the hospital is going overboard.

It seems in order to do whatever as a business to protect their profits and practice defensive medicine, Kootenai Health is using the CPS to cover their proverbial rear ends and tattle tell on parents who don’t go with advice of their hospital administrator.

How would you like to be a customer of any business in America, the land of the free, where you reject the advice of your mechanic and the mechanic turns you in to the police to inspect your vehicle?

Last I checked, doctors make mistakes and so shouldn’t be treated as gods who can’t be questioned.

Where are we headed as a society where the nanny state is used by a business to intimidate customers into buying their services?

Should we now be mandated to pay Kootenai Health bills in order for the parents not to have CPS come breaking down their doors?
