| September 14, 2019 1:00 AM

SPOKANE VALLEY — Quarterback Derek Pearse and wide receiver Tommy Hauser connected on three touchdown passes for the Post Falls Trojans in a 48-12 win over the University Titans in a nonleague football game on Friday.

Post Falls’ defense had allowed 60 points in its first two games.

“Our defense played really well tonight,” Post Falls coach Blaine Bennett said. “Our defensive coordinator (Mike Blowers) put together a great scheme and the boys played really well tonight. University is a big, physical team and our defense was able to make some big stops.”

Eli Gondo ran for a pair of touchdowns for Post Falls (2-1), which hosts Moses Lake next Friday.

“Our guys up front blocked really well,” Bennett said. “We mixed things up really well with the run and the pass. We didn’t play flawless, but played the tempo we wanted to lay and created some matchups.”

University is 0-2.
